...Natural and Engineered Stone

Natural materials have been used to enhance and decorate the floors and walls of public and private buildings since the dawn of the stone Age.

Continuing that tradition Lowe's Marble and Granite supply and manufacturer natural marble, granite, limestone, travertine and slate tiles using their in-house tile plant at the factory in Middleton By Wirksworth. As well as sourcing other man-made, engineered natural look-a-like quartz resin and porcelian tiles for attractive floor and wall coverings.

Lowe's have something to fit every style, budget and size of project, from historic listed houses and halls, to a conservatory, cloakroom, commercial office reception or private swimming pool.

Tiles can be supplied in a vast range of different sizes and finishes. A polished finish is not reccommened for flooring due to it being a slip hazard and the polish on softer stones such as marbles and limestones will wear away over time with foot-traffic. Honed is the most popular finsh, this is a smooth but matt finish, rather than a high gloss of the polished tiles and therefore giving more grip underfoot. Some tiles are also available in textured or antique finish which again give more grip and suitable for use outdoors.

Natural or Engineered, the difference, apart from being man-made or natural is that the engineered tiles are more resistant to staining and highly durable under heavy foot traffic. This is with the exception of natural granite that also has these highly durable properties. Another benifit of quartz resins is that they offer a range of vibrant colours not found in natural granite, marble, slate, travertine or limestone.

You are welcome to visit our showroom and factory to view the granite, marble, travertine, slate, limestone, quartz resin, porcelain, fabrica tiles and discuss any design and layout ideas you have.
