Lowe's always recommend using granite for kitchen worktops due to its hard wearing and durable composition. Now with technological advances in manufacture of materials Lowe's are producing kitchen worktops in quartz resin. This is an engineered stone that can be produced to imitate marble and granite but also vivid colours that are not available in natural stones.

These two stones are more durable and thus more practical than marble and limestone which will mark, scratch and stain in a kitchen environment.

Replacing your worktop in the kitchen or utility room with natural granite or quartz resin allows you to put your personal touch to the room. You don't need to replace your cupboards to give the kitchen a new look, a lick of paint and new worktops can make any kitchen fantastic. These include a choice of finished to the surface of the granite - polished, honed a matt finish or antique a rougher surface with a matt finish. A selection of moulded edge profiles and the ability to cut the granite or quartz resin in to various shapes shapes and sizes.

Granite or Quartz Resin...

Natural granite will provide you with a life long durable work surface requiring little maintenance in an array of natural colours from jet blacks such as African Black and Absolute Black through to golden shades and then lighter greys such as Spring White and Blanco Perla and not forgetting the glitz of Star Galaxy, Nero Cosmos and Angola Black.

All the worktops are cut directly from the slab to the shape, size and edge profile required for your kitchen. All are finished to the highest quality using only 1st choice, premium quality granite giving you a virtually indestructible worktop.

Quartz resin is a man-made material and therefore are available in the most amazing array of colours from black to white and pink and green. Although not quite as resilient as granite, quartz resin has the benefit of being available in certain colours in 12mm slab thickness for a thinner more modern worktop that also requires little maintenance.

Lowe's can also produce tabletops, pastry boards, cheese boards and even a lazy susan in either the same colour as the worktop or a contrasting colour to complement.
