Granite Very hard igneous rock, resulting from volcanic activity, available in a wide range of colours. It can be polished or textured, is extremely hard and is ideally suited for work surfaces. |

Marble Metamorphic rocks, varying in colour from pure white to many shades and colours with dramatic veining. Most marbles will take a high polish. |

Limestone A sedimentary rock with varying degrees of hardness. Colours range from beige-cream to grey, brown and black. Some of the harder stone will take a polish. |

Slate A sedimentary rock with a fine texture, available in a limited range of colours and will not take a polish. | |
