Stone Types

Granite  Very hard igneous rock, resulting from volcanic activity, available in a wide range of colours.  It can be polished or textured, is extremely hard and is ideally suited for work surfaces.

Marble  Metamorphic rocks, varying in colour from pure white to many shades and colours with dramatic veining.  Most marbles will take a high polish.

Limestone  A sedimentary rock with varying degrees of hardness.  Colours range from beige-cream to grey, brown and black.  Some of the harder stone will take a polish.

Slate  A sedimentary rock with a fine texture, available in a limited range of colours and will not take a polish.

All are available cut from slabs or as thin tiles.
